Product Description:
In food applications, calcium chloride is commonly used as a firming agent, a brine component, and as a mineralizing agent in some beverages, adding calcium as an electrolyte. Calcium chloride is also commonly used to lower the freezing point of mixtures, preventing or slowing the freezing process for a variety of applications, including in some in food production. In pharmaceutical production, USP grade calcium chloride may be used as a laboratory reagent, or in production stages to supplement a formula with calcium ions.
